ABC Reefs 1st Anniv/Frag Swap/Sale 11/14

Good Morning Peeps, Brett and I are contemplating leaving by 8:30 to arrive at ~ 10:00 also. It is certain the corals will object...lol No one likes moving day!

Excellent turn out today all. Thanks so much for supporting Syracuse/CNY reef keeping. The nature of the swap changed a little this year. More informed local swappers, some new faces, and killer deals. Thanks to those who brought and bought stuff. Means a lot to me personally because I've felt for many years like I was one of the few guys in the area that was really into it. Now I see a lot more people with great reefs and a passion for the hobby in my area. Great success. Thanks to all again!!!!!!!!!
 
A good time was had by all!

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to connect with the couple of people who wanted to talk about LED lighting, so if you guys wanna drop me a PM maybe we can meet up some other time or something.

Good news, I managed to take around 100 photos of all the wonderful corals and fish at the store. They're downloading now, I'll post them later tonight.

ABC Reefs - Excellent job with the swap. I was impressed last year but this year's was even better. Always good to pick up some reef goodies, meet some fellow reefers, and put a few faces to some of the names. - Mark & Donna
 
I want to thank Tim and Dave for hosting a real nice event. They went above and beyond what they needed to. Nice corals, good prices, good food and it was nice meeting new folks in the hobby.

Here here for a great host team at ABC Reefs. It was fun to meet many new faces and see that the Syracuse reefer's are in good hands with Tim & Dave in charge. Great job and thank you for have us into your place.

Tell your son he did a fantastic job Rich. He knew what he was talking about and he had most prices down pat. Looks to me like you have a reefer in the making.

Thanks to Tim, Dave, Jeremy, and any other ABC helpers I missed meeting. Thanks to Cully, Lang, and ABC for the great corals. And thanks to everyone else for buying my zoa's!

Y'all definately made it worth the trip from Rochester and my post-crash tank looks fullish again.
 
Had a great time. Was nice putting faces to the names and meeting everyone. Pisces the zoas look great in the tank. I should of pulled the trigger on that colony you had. By time I went back you had sold it :rolleyes:
 
Mike, TY for the complement. Bret has a great eye for the hobby and has become quite a good reefer too. His help yesterday was wildly important to "the old man".

Thanks Tim, Dave, Jen, and especially Jeremy, for assisting me in setting a new one-day coral spending record; in fact it was all within two hours! :hmm1: Jeremy somehow knows to which corals I can't say 'no'! I may never be allowed to come back. :o

Just wanted to thank everyone for coming out to the swap. I look forward to hosting in the future and would love any criticism as to how to make it bigger and better. We are already working on a larger space so at least we can look forward to that. Special thanks to Diverdick, josepha and pices4u for setting up tanks with all their amazing frags. Also would like to thank Randy O for taking the drive to help support the swap and the hobby, total class act. Of course I have to thank the Captain Cully for getting this started and for his continued support in building the Syracuse hobby. Thanks again and until next time....
 
Great event and great place guys! I really enjoyed my first swap.

Next time we should all have name tags. ;)
 
sounds like i missed something big... maybe next time!! you all sound so great cant wait to meet more people from URS.
