I have a 39 gallon. I feed my fishes pellet food and spirulina flakes. I feed the acans fauna marin pellet food once or twice a week.

How long did acan take to grow a new head? and How long did the new small head grow to the full size?

this is my "acan" in this picture it was almost normal

but most of the time, almost all the time, it is with the tentacles fully extended, as when drop AA

know someone explain to me why, since other LPS does not behave this way

Your tank may have a lot of bacteria (there are some cyano in your sand bed). There are so much food for acan to take. I experienced this when i use biopellet.

What kind of lighting are you rainbow keepers using? How long have these acans been under x lighting? Any special feeding/supplements?

thank you. on an average growing acan, I'd say several months. but you typically get several all at once around the edges. Like 6 new polyps will come out and those will need to full mature before the next set emerges which will be several months.

Fish looks great. I only have 3 fish, blue eyed mimic tang, melenarus wrasse, allardi clown.

Inspiring, I upgraded to the radion pro and my red acans that turned orange have returned to red. I am almost ready to dig back in and start my collection again after worms ate most of mine.

Where are good online places to find nice colorful acans, locally we have alot of sps but the acan diversity is limited.
