Accident with Linckia

I went to move a rock and accidentally touched my Orange Linckia.. I'm pretty upset right now any ideas if it will live?

Accidentally touched it? With your hand? That shouldn't hurt it at all. Hey are very hard to keep long term though. They usually eventually starve.

Doesn't yours also just hang a leg out every once in a while?

It will be fine. As Pat said, mine is out of the water often during a water change and I also pick it up and move it.

Yea mine climbs out of my tank lol. Just pick him up and put him back lol. My marbled star (Fromia monilis) does it too IME they are actually pretty hardy despite the things you read online.

Not a linkia but my star goes up to top of tank and swings a leg out alng the top of the water too

I bought the smallest one(2-3" across) so it has plenty of food for it's body size
