lol, I love when shops take pictures of chalices that have rainbow colors when they first arrive, and then when they finally settle into captivity the colors get more and more generic. The pics on page 3 are not a rare chalice at all, I wonder how much Tropicorium would make if they posted those more honest pictures instead of their super saturated newly arrived rainbow pics.

I am thinking it is a scam. I drove 7 hours round trip to see this chalice with my own eyes. When I got there they said the Acid Trip chalice wasn't even there at the farm. They will not be getting my 400.00$.

The thread is a couple years old...

That price is pure insanity and purchasing will only foster more price gauging. Extreme Corals has big gorgeous chalices for 1/2 the price. Look at their web site. IMHO, they have high quality corals at very fair pricing (I am not affiliated with them). Chalices are slow growing and way to fussy to risk $400 for a tiny frag that will take years of expert care to become anything other than "frag". One alk spike and your $400 chalice is history.

I'm not too far from Tropicorium, the Acid Trip chalice was there when PPE's were still $50 a polyp now they sell 3+ for that price. All photos are Photoshopped a little bit! They do use a $3,000+ camera to take photos. I saw that chalice under daylights after they had chopped it up and yes without actinic it looked nothing like the picture on they're website but with Actinic it sure was better looking then any other Chalice that was for sale that I had ever seen, and that was after if had been under the saw for a while. Tropicorium is IMO the original pioneer of this entire hobby that we all love today. They have more coral than 95% of most other stores w/o names attached to them! Your guaranteed to walk in there and 100% of the time you'll see something you have never ever seen before and if your like me you'll buy it!

I know this thread is 2+ years old but now it's been reborn.
