Acronics sps Peninsula

hey there fellow canucker! First of all, I love your tank! I've been following it for a while but I'm not very chatty on here so don't post a heck of a lot. Second, sorry to hear about your floor problems! YIKES! When I read that the first thing I thought was, holy $#!t is my tank going to bust through my floor too?? Mine is a peninsula as well and juts into the middle of the room. I read further and saw your theory on what caused your floor failure and that sorta makes sense. The preasure point on the floor would be bad! Luckly I don't have that with my stand. I have wooden beams under my tank that span the length of my 6' tank and thus spans 6' across the floor spreading out the weight.

Hope all works out for you. Keep on keeping on :-)

Glad to hear all is well, will be looking forward to hearing about your new tank when it arrives, and of course seeing some pics!

The new tank will be 54x30x22 starfire, pvc bottom, external overflow and rimless. So that is 157 gallon in a workable footprint (a am getting tired of the 30 deep).

Yah, but most importantly, is it still going to be a peninsula? :bounce3:

Thanks for the update.

Glad to hear, that with all you have going on right now, that you still went out and ordered a new tank.

Shows that you really are addicted to this hobby.:D

She will definately be the most expensive frag to maintain! Thanks guys.

Unfortunately, the peninsula style just does not work in the new layout. I will miss that part but am equally excited to return to the classic style :)

You amaze me bro...you are finding time to update the thread even during busy times as these....awesome!!!
Wish you the best if luck :)

Thanks guys, its been a blast so far :) thanks for stopping in and checking out the baby pics.

I would feel wrong if I closed this thread on this note. So with that said, I will post two corals I have been hiding from you guys while they color up :) One is really rare!

This is my first time using Lightroom. I know they are a little over tweaked but believe me, the colour is as good in person (or better, wolverine...)

Nice new addition to the family! Congratulations.
She'll be the toughest, most demanding challenge or you life as well as the most rewarding.
Mine are 5 and 8 and the rewards and challenges only get more intense.
Love this thread and love those new corals...
One of these days I'm gonna pack up a hammer and chisel (and a bag of cash!) and come grovelling to Toronto to beg and plead for frags from all of you guys..
It's like the Bermuda Triangle of awesomeness around the greater Toronto area..
Nice work, I cant wait to see the next project develope.

That first one looks really nice. I have seen too many of the wolverine type acros though....to me its the first pic that is the beauty and rarity....looks like an elegans almost...super rare growth form and colour IMO. Nice acros though....both of them.

I was speaking of the elegans. I have never seen one of this color and it blew me away. Three weeks ago it was brown. Im glad you say elegans! That sides with my guess between friends, they say its not elegans but rather a simplex

I also see the wolf type mari often, its not as special to me as its been hyped lately but still a pretty awesome acro.
