Acropora yongei.....still eludes me...

Great to see some familiar faces at the swap. Met some new folks, put faces to names.

Anyway, this once very common coral (true green slimer), remains elusive. There are plenty of imposters, but its been a long time since I've seen the real deal.

What gives?

Who's holding!?!

Most people think they have what I consider the real green slimer A. Yongei, but it ends up just being a green stag that slimes.

The real deal is super hairy, can't see the branches at all when polyps are fully extended.

Real deal

Thanks.

Funny thing is, you didn't used to be able to give the stuff away. Now it's gone!

I don't want it anymore......I NEED IT!

I came to see you last time. Come this way and do a tank crawl. You'll leave with tons of free frags and a belly full of beer and venison.

Not a bad deal for the gift of your time and one measly frag.
