Added a bta with carpet

So I just added a bta in with my carpet anemone. The tank is a 150, six foot long. Now I just read on another site the anemones may start fighting even if they are not close. Anyone ever hear of this.

carpets like to have their foot between rock and sand
BTAs like to have their foot wedged into rock

So in a 6ft long tank i dont think there would be a problem

What type of carpet is it?

For over a year I had a BTA with two Haddonis with no issues, sold the BTA for space.

Picture from before I sold it.

Do have yours under mh lighting. Mine is under vho and seems to be doing very well. I feed him every other day silversides.

It is under 2*250 MH plus 2*54 T5. For the first 2 months I had it it was under 6*65 PC lights.

Might want to cut back on the feedings a bit, I fed mine about every 10-14 days.

What are your water parms?

Might want to bring the temp up a bit, I keep mine b/t 78.5 and 81.5. Not saying it is perfect, but that is what I keep mine at and they are doing great.

That is what I was doing, I found if I fed it more often it grew too much. Had to be about 12" across when I sold it.

I have found that all my anemones do well with that feeding schedule.

I keep a haddoni and a gbta in my tank. I used to have them in a 55g, now they are in my 125g. They are rather close to each other too. One foot, if that, is all the is between them. Never noticed anything going on between them. My haddoni is around 18" and the bta is around 5". I only feed mine once or twice a month. Like Toddrtrex said, the more you feed them the faster they grow.

I housed my RBTAs in my 300 gallon with a Blue Haddoni Carpet for a long time. The RBTAs split more in with the Carpet then they do now in their own 75 gallon. Whether or not the frequent splits were do to Chemical Warfare or the pressence of each other in the system, I can not rule that out but they all appeared to be happy and not stressed (visibly) by any means.
