Official build thread, finally got started. So far, I've accumulated the lights, the skimmer, tank is on its way, have the sand, salt, and korallia pumps ordered.
It's going to be a 40 gallon extra long (4' long), with 2 LED boxes, and Reef Octopus dual skimmer, mixed reef showing biodiversity, especially symbiotic relationships (goby/shrimp combo and anemone/clownfish combo first).
Going to need rock (smaller 2-3lb pieces of base rock), magnet cleaner, refractometer, and water containers. Anyone have any of these laying around not being used and in the way? It's for a good cause going to be on display for approximately 125 students daily per year, plus parents during conferences. I've footed the bill so far, money's getting tight. Hoping anyone can help with any of the mentioned items, or anything else you can think of.
