Aggressive carpet anenome

I have had a green hadani (giant) carpet anenome for 6 months. It is now about 8 inches in diameter and growing from 6 inches over last 2 to 3 months. I have had a pair of ocellaris clowns in the tank for 6 months with it, without any hosting. They hide behind the live rock wall rather than go to the anenome. The anenome is "sticky" to everything and once I saw the female 5 inch ocellaris touch it with a sting and defense actiions to get away from it. The two paired clowns stay away from it. What type of clown has a good chance to be accepted as a host and why won't the clown pair go into the anenome. Are there aggressive anenomes that won't host anything. What are the chances of another species of clowns being hosted without being killed by this aggressie anenome. It is very sticky and tried to eat snails and cucumbers and is sticky to my hands when I touch it.

Clarkiis and saddlebacks (( A. polymnus )) are naturally hosted by Haddonis.

Personally, I currently have a pair of pink skunks (( A. perideraion )), pair of Saddlebacks (( A. polymnus )) and a pair of SI percs that are being hosting by Haddonis.

As Todd said, clarkii and polymnus will have no problem using haddoni as a host. I've had clarkii, polymnus, ocellaris, and percula living in my haddoni. At different times of course.:strange:

Giant carpet is the common name for S. gigantea. The more common Carpet in our aquarium is S. haddoni. I am not sure which species you are talking about here.

Ocellaris clowns do not reach 5 inches so I am not sure which species of clown you are talking about here.

Please post pictures of the clowns and the carpet so we can give better advices

The anenome is a Hadonni green carpet. Is their much chance of loosing a clown pair to this anenome if it is an aggresive anenome? Do all clownfish have little chance of being eaten due to their immunity from the stinging cells of the anenome?
