Agh! New 6025 won't stay together!

Buddyboy,

I'm in Vancouver too. I got my 6025's from OceanAquatics. The tabs were and still are incredibly weak. This is also a newer model with the round cord (but no serial number on the side of the motor).

In addition, the epoxying of the cord and motor did interfere with the cord coming out of the housing. I dremeled the hole out a bit and that slightly improved things but the tabs are still the weak point that doesn't enable to housing to stay held together after this fix.

I love the flow these pumps produce after modding them but the bracket and housing problems are really soiling Tunze's name. The only thing keeping me from abandoning Tunze all together is their incredible customer service - Roger keep up the good work and Phil up here in Canada has been great also. But I hope production problems get straightened out because damage control can only attune for poor craftsmanship for so long before frustration and mistrust on the part of the consumer takes over.

I think at this point all the problems with the Nano Stream series have been solved to my satisfaction. I am generally pleased when we are down to 2% or fewer defects, the clips were the last hurdle and the majority of these cover issues can be solved with the simple steps I outlined above. I would suggest you and Buddyboy contact Tunze Canada, to really solve this problem requires that the pump be sent in as it could be the back half or the front half causing the issue. If you are in the US and having this problem just contact me by PM and we will get it worked out.
