Ahhhhh..... A place for a Ricordea Junkie!

Thanks guys for the tips

Thanks guys for the tips

I will give it a try and move them up slowly they are in a tank that is 125 gallons and is lit by 3 x 175 mh (10K) and 2 x 160vho actinic. It is a sps dominated tank so I will need to be careful as I wouldn't want these to do damage to my other corals. I will probably need to thin these guys out soon as the rock they are groing on is covered all around and they apear to be growing on top of each other. Thanks again, Henry

Henry, you are welcome. Move them slowly over about 2 weeks. The best way to thin them is to get a small flat screwdriver and dig under them into the rock. You can then remove a small chip of the rock and glue it to another rock or ship them out the the guys in this forum. I am sure they will be interested in them.

Darren, Thank you for the confirmation.

I have three ricordia colonies under 250w HQI DE. I have an 18 gallon tank!! they look nice and plump, and they are getting big. Ricordias can handle alot of light that's for sure.

No doubt! I have some under 400 WMH and they can stand it just fine.

They look nice under Radiums!

Of course, everything does...

Just a reminder folks - we don't sell anything on the main boards (or at least we try not to). To help with this, we also don't put "want to buy" type posts in the main forums either.

I get my rare ones through trades and stores in la. I've also got some very nice non-pink/red ones online. =) took me a long time before i found my first pink ricordia though.

Anyone got a pic of a true solid yellow ricordia flordia under MH 10k lighting or pc's? Most of the ones i've seen are orange-yellow morphs or taken under weird lighting. If you got one post it! thanks in advance.

So I'm wondering, when you frag them, perferably just in half. How long does it usually take to attach?

I have a nice little 10 gallon nano, and would love to aquire a few different color ricordias...anyone reccomend a great place to get them..please..anyone wnat to trade? I have really nothing special, but I do have some $$$$;)
