Just opened it up, and i know i am knit picking, but Anyone else's director look scratch up like it was used before?

Yep. Mine was the same when it arrived. It definitely doesn't appear to be a new unit.

Even though I am not a beta tester, I am very happy to see that they finally decided to beta test this latest product before release. I am sure they will learn a LOT through this beta test for future beta and final product releases.

I have not reconnected my lights to the Director since Monday. I am waiting until Saturday so I can keep an eye on them all day.

Doubleohwhat posted how to check your current software version. Just check it daily and you will see the version numbers climbing.

I finally got around to plugging it last night. I am able to connect to it, but I can't set up the network connection. My wireless network is not showing on the drop down menu. Anyone know how to solve this?

Broadcasting your SSID?

If your SSID is hidden or not being broadcast (as it should be), then it will NOT appear in any devices drop down list, until after it has been manually entered in said device.

Could possibly be the security settings on your access point. I know people are having issues with seeing their AirPort Extreme but can find other networks.

Same problem here ... Apple Airport Extreme and all of my settings are optimum, but it still won't see my network. Plugged it into my router via ethernet and it sees my Vega just fine 12 feet away. Also, you can use an airport express as a bridge and run a small ethernet cable from the express to the Director.

I assume a fix will be forthcoming, but there are two options for you that worked for me until a fix is issued.

Bluehost & HostGator DNS are down which means we can't access aquaillumination.com today until the DNS hosts are fixed ... so if your Director can't connect to the my.aqua site, that is why.

SSID definitely broadcasting. There are at least 10 connections broadcasting from my neighbors, etc, but the AID only picks up the 4. Weird. I guess I'll just hardwire it until a fix comes lol.

Mine did the same thing. I just had to put the director right next to the router and keep unplugging it. Each time it should show different networks. Then FINALLY my network showed up!

Mine randomly found my AirPort Extreme but wouldn't connect. Then it wouldn't find it anymore. I did nothing to get it to find it/my find it

I agree, day one was frustrating, but it became very stable and useable very quickly. Mine worked right away, but didn't do the program until late last week. Its been working like a champ since.
