AI Hydra Settings Thread

I just wanted to let everyone know that I just got a hydra and director and I am in love! I had a tough time determining between the radion and the hydra for my elos midi. So I called multiple online vendors and all 5 recommended the hydra and director over the radion. I know the radion is a great light but I have no regrets so far! I will provide some pic soon once I get my sand in my tank.

Thanks Mike. Nice tank. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Your tank is very similar to mine so it helped me get a good idea. I'm going to do something very similar, except I want to hang my lights from the canopy itself. Thanks again!
 
Anyone notice their hydras making a slight buzzing sound? It is very faint but if you put your ear next to the fixture you can hear it. It is not the fan. I heard this noise when my fan was not running..
 
I can't really hear anything over the water and power heads but pretty much anything with power flowing through it can make a buzzing sound.
 
Is it one or both? I would contact Ai since the power supply is separate from the light if it is only one light

Absolutely, i think I posted a few growth shot for comparison a few pages back. To answer your question i haven't seen any coral not grow so far.
