AI Hydra Settings Thread

You may just be seeing a cloud go over. The lights will all dim at the same time except for when it is simulating a cloud. Then it will go from one light to the next

Anyone got any setting suggestions for a Solana 34G with a Regular Hydra?
Just got my Neptune AI controller and want to get it setup. The stock settings seem awfully purple.

Would you share the pictures of how you mount your AI oem ext tank mount and ext rail for yours Hydras...I am soon in the market for two more of these railing systems. Thx.

I just found a beam and drilled a hole smaller than the bolt and went straight into the ceiling without the included butterfly anchors.

Then use the included hardware to go to the light rails

I love the 26, I have nothing negative to say about it. It's ready for when I upgrade to a deeper tank.

Sonic, Do you think the setting are different for the 26 then the reg Hydra?
Can you run more white? or is it pretty much the same as the Hydra?

These things should come with a handle with care sticker... Lol they seem to be the same spectrum with a tad more white. I am running them with the same settings I was running the regular Hydra with.

Getting some softies in. To little light? Clove are doing great at this level. Colt coral looks to love life for the first half of the day the retracts. Xenia has only been in two days but does not open really at all. None are directly under the light, mostly off to the sides of the tank. Good flow on ever thing. 20% acclimatization.

i have a 100gal 60" long and 24deep .. does anyone have good lighting settings for the AI hydras ( i have 2 )

The reality seems to be that there are no one size fits all "good lighting settings". Too many variables. How high above tank? How deep to the top of the corals? What kind of corals? What was the previous lighting, if any? And, finally and most important to many - what looks best to your eye. Best thing you can do is read through this thread and absorb as much data as you can that would work for your set up and then give it a try and monitor results.

Phosphates? Also may need more time to acclimate.

Thinking it may be acclimatization or just a weak coral. Over night shipping but from what I have seen Xenia dont do well with shipping. At this point I just hoping they make it.

Phosphates are good. I use PhosGuard.
