Hi Guys,
Been lurking this thread for a while since I am in the process of getting my AI Hydra 26HD's in the next day or so, so this discussion has been great for me to see what everyone else is running program wise.
Now the time has come for me to set mine up and after scrolling thru the many pages on here I have come up with some settings for me as a start anyway and would like some feedback from other on if this is good bad not enough etc. I am new to LED's as I am currently upgrading to the Hydra's from T5's.
The set up I am looking at is to try give my tank as much light as I can to start with whilst acclimitising it to from the T5's to the LED's and well I don't want too much and burn the corals but I also don't want to go too little to start with and have that negative impact also. The tank is RSM500 S Series so It is used to having 4hrs of 8 T5's 4hr's of 10 T5's and 1 hour ramp up and 1hr ramp down of 2 T5's.........Would like to think that this is a decent amount of light so the corals would handle some reasonable LED light from the start (could be wrong). Tank is mixed reef with more SPS then LPS at the present.
The settings I am looking at using for the start atleast are as follows.
CW = 40%
RB = 60%
B = 60%
V = 50%
UV = 30%
DR = 15%
G = 15%
Using the 75% acclimation mode over 3-4 weeks. Lights to run around 11hrs with 4.5hrs of max settings and an equal ramp up time before and after this......Not sure if this is sufficient or I should run longer times? I currently have abit of GHA I am combatting so I don't want to help this thing grow like crazy.
I will be using 3 hydra 26's (for a start atleast) over my tank so I am thinking this should be enough anyway.
Any help on my settings would be greatly appreciated.
