Aiming 2-6060's in a 120g....

need opinons, I have a 100g rimless with a 4x2 footprint (hence 120g). In my old 70g, I had the 2 6060's blowing right at each other. However, with the new tank set-up I wanted to do a loop. So ex set-up is:

1 - Backleft corner
2 - Frontright corner

Although Im still getting sand blown around. Any suggestions?

You are getting the sand storm because the pump pointing downward. I have seen 2x6101 in the same size tank without sandstorm.

You're right, they do sag a little.....The slider attachment & magnet holders are OK, its the actual angled support thats physically attached to the pump that is slightly loose.

How do I fix this?

They deliberately leave slack in these parts so they are easy to remove after some algae growth. You can either turn the magnet holder at a slight angle or add a small shim (thin piece of plastic)

Thanks Rodger. Its strange because if I mount the tunzes right side up, they're pretty level, only when theyre upside down do they sag. Ive seen other upside down & no sag

Ill try adding some shims under the bottom part of the magnet or just flip them around if that doesnt work. Thanks

Lagger, you can use the stuff from your mounting kit. You should have a suction cup, a small plastic nut and a long screw. Insert the plastic nut into the suction cup and the plastic screw will screw into the nut. The suction part will be on your glass and the tip of the screw will support the bottom of your pump to lift it up. I have done it before and it work very well. Or you can visit your local fish store where you buy your tank from and check out the way they place their tunze stream pumps. I show them the technique and it been working very well for them for couple years.
