Alaska, early 2011

hm, strange, I thought I posted a response last night. Anyway, yeah, I went to one meeting back when coral maniacs had just opened. They were going to have another in the valley but I never did go to it. Now I just lost touch. Seems the problem is that there are not enough people. So invariably some people can;t make certain times and meetings and there is just not enough surplus of people to keep it sustainable. At least that was my take. Are there still meetings going on? Grant, are you in it?

I never go to the meetings but I post on the forums from time to time. I went to a couple meetings when I had my large fish tank but then once I got rid of that I quit really paying much attention to local stuff.

Grant lives a ways a way to I think.
There are meetings every month.
I try to go to most of them, have gotten some great frags from local members and given away a few of my own.
Gives me a reason to go check out a new tank once a month.
We had a coral growing contest this summer where Tim from coral maniacs gave us each 2 polys of the same zoa.
then we had 2 months to grow as many polyps as we could I tied for best with 9 got a 50.00 gift card.
There arent a ton of people still, but there are several more than when coral fanatics opened almost 2 years ago now.

Nah, I live in Anchorage, I'm pretty close to most of the meetings.

Just a couple more pictures, nothing too amazing, but I dont want to post the really amazing ones ;)

I like the two immatures. No shadows over their eyes, and they're even looking different directions!
