An Afternoon at the LFS with my D70 Pt I

I know there are quite a bit of visable artifacts on the images, I was really just perusing thru the store and didn't really take the time to wipe the glass, did the best I could ... enjoy ...

wow, the third to last is sweet, they all are! are you using a filter on these? what lens?

Me too! Huge, most incredible color I have ever seen.

Very nice pics! Where you using any filters on the camera? Also were you using the built in flash or an off-camera system?

These were all hand held with 18-70mm kit lens.

Excellent pictures. Wishing I would have got one of these instead of the Olympus that I did get. The D70 is only slightly more.

Do you mind sharing how you had hte flash setup? TTL or did you have at a certain fraction of intensity? (those are the options I have on the D50 at least.

I'm using 2 flash units in these, in commander mode. Using the SB800 in conjunction with the on camera strobe. Use at 1/32 of full power. Most shots fall in the range: ISO 200, 1/500, f/5.6.

The strobes set the tone for white balance and preserve natural colors, as well as increase shutter speed which is traded off for depth of field as needed.

yes, it is the 'stock' kit lens ... 18-70mm ... it's really a pretty nice lens for overall use.
