A good portion of the older clowns have their third stripes. I will have to take new pictures soon. They r really staryting to darken up now.

Tyler,
You are about 40 days ahead of me, and raising Ocellaris instead of Percula. Babies Percula seem to be more aggressive. At 1/2 inch they start to fight among themselves.

Oh no, my little devils fight like mad. Remember Black Photons are A. Percularis (not deemed the real name but generally accepted now). So they do have percula blood in them.

I get plenty of bickering even with smaller numbers in a 55g tank which has plenty of room.

If you think either of our clowns are bad try raising maroons, they bicker so much it often leads to death if you don't split them into smaller groups.

I did get a new spawn last night (missed the last hatch), but again they ignore the tiles and lay on the rocks (they actually moved the tiles off 4 times last night, even after the tiles were glued down).

Hopefully on the next spawn I can get them to lay on a removable rock rather than the 25lb rock they currently spawn on.

I got a large white tile 6X6 they cannot move that. I also cut some floor tiles that is too heavy for them. I just put the tile over the flat rock that they clean. For my pairs they accept that without problem.

I cut multiple sections of tile ranging from 2x2 to 1.5x5 and layer them over their normal laying spots. The problem is the rock is awkward shaped so placing one tile in there doesn't work (they just lay on the rock in another available spot).

Instead I will stack a few rocks up there which will weigh more and discourage them from moving the rocks.

When they pick a spot that I cannot put the tile, I just pile a coral branch or rock there so that they don't have an open place there anymore. It works for me.

Thank you to everyone for the compliments. I will try to take some new pictures and videos tonight of the largest juveniles (which of course are the most entertaining). I also have a B/W x Black Ice snowflake that will hopefully start laying soon.

Female is 2.5 yrs old male is 1 yr old. If they don't start soon I will give them a clutch from my other pair to take care of (has occasionally worked to force spawns for other breeders).
