anemone for nano tank??

If you are good in keeping the tank stable, An H. malu is a good choice for sand bed anemone. They will not get larger than about 6 inches. Diver Den is having three for sale right now each about 40.00. Most smaller clowns including Ocellaris and Percula will live in one.
I can easily keep one in a 20 g tank with 3 inches sand bed. Bright light and tank stability is a must. Not easy but very do-able.

What size nano? I keep a GBTA in a 29 gallon and it does beautifully. Anything smaller though and it would take up too much room.

BTA's have the potential to reach 12" in diameter. You CAN put one in a nano, but it will likely be the only thing you can keep in it as it will sting anything nearby.

I have an H. malu and mine is approx. 10" across...I would go with a BTA in a nano...but that's just my opinion ;)

Yeah, mine is already at least 8", and I've read 8-10" as avaerage max size.
When I think nano, I'm thinking smaller than 30g, which is about as small as I personally would recommend for any host nem.

I have kept 3 anemones (1 carpet, 1 GBTA, and 1 long tenticle) in a 35G for about a year before I upgraded. (they started small and by the end of year barely fit in that tank!)

but a 6 Gallon is way too small. a maxi mini would be the most Id put in there.

I would not advise keeping an anemone in a nano unless your experienced. I have been running a 12g Aquapod with a GBTA. I have had no issues, but the little guy is maybe 3" diameter. Daily water changes and a close eye on the anemone has been successful for the past 6 months. This little guy will be transferred to an anemone-only tank in the near future and the Black Misbar Occy/Orange Occy will be PO'ed then.

While an H.malu does stay smaller than a Bubble tip, the bubble tip can take more of a beating if need be like if the light goes out or a heater fails, etc. The smallest tank i successfully kept one in was a 10g, but i had nothing else in it beside a lonely female perc.

I would say a 6g is too small though. Maxi-minis with sexy shrimp like the others advised would be a much better choice and it still makes for an interesting tank.

As others have said, that is too small for any anemone other than a maxi-mini. It is also too small for clownfish. I think my 25g is almost too small for my occy clowns
