anemone in powerhead!!!

Great! I woke up this morning to find my gorgeous green bubble tip anemone half stuck in the koralias powerhead. My question is, will he live, do I need to get him out immediately, do I need to do a water change? He is still alive right now, his mouth didn't get into the mess, just his side. Need help!!

It can live through this, you need to try and let it get out on its own. If you can help it out without doing any more damage then that will also work. If the foot and mouth are still ok then the odds are it will survive. Good Luck

he fortunately is out already, I cleaned the powerhead and checked him out and the mouth and head are still in tact. thanks

If the base/foot isn't damaged, odds are that it will be fine.

Keep in mind that bubble tip anemones can be cut in half and even quarters to propagate them, thus unless it was totally destroyed in the powerhead there is a good chance it will be fine. Expect it to close up and shrink for a few days but should be fine in a week.
