Anemone not growing

So I've had my rose bubble tip anemone for a little more the a month now. The problem is, it's the same exact size as when I bought it. My water quality is fine, I've even fed it several times. I have two hydra 26 leds. What usually causes anemones to not grow? Also, it has never extended its tentacles. It just looks like a circle of bubbles. I was told it may be due to them getting enough light and they do not need to extend their tentacles. If you have leds, let me know what you keep them at. Thanks.

I have had a rbta for 9 years under a hydra. Well i do not feed very frequently maybe once every two weeks a small piece of shrimp. In regards to lighting my sunrise is around 10 am and sunset around 8 pm. The only way mine grows is if i feed it. Otherwise it wouldnt grow. Perhaps it may be unhappy with something else. Such as not enough flow. Btw if you feed it too frequently it will split.

Thanks for the info. What percentage do you keep your blues at?

Ugh, my RBTA was moving all over the place and now it seems to have finally settled down to the back of the aquarium. May be time to aim a powerhead at it

Seriously? A whole month and it hasn't grown? Just how fast do you expect it to grow? Maybe you haven't heard the old saying? Nothing good happens fast in an aquarium! Give it some time.

Hey.....I'm actually very patient. I was just uninformed about how long it took for them to grow.
Hey,you had a question and asked it,that's how you learn, sometimes people know the right answer but lack proper communication skill to properly relate it,or in some cases they are just jerks, not saying this applies to this particular question and answers, but I do believe you got the right answers, lol,I've been on here and have asked what I thought was a basic question and man for some reason all the selfrightious all zeroed in on my post, lol.again not saying it applies here, but it does happen, just take the good advice and ignore the peanut gallery ,there are a col people on here who like to toot their own horn and tear people down,AGAIN not saying this happened here!

Let me start by apologizing. My comment was a bit on the harsh side. It's just that so many new reefers want to rush things it gets old to those of us who have been around a long time. You'll get the hang of it. I used to be just like your question implied. Why isn't this stuff growing?!?!?

Now, 12 years in the hobby and I wish some of my corals would grow slower. It seems I'm fragging corals all the time to keep them under control.

Keep asking questions and don't let the grumpy old men like me scare you off!

I've had mine for since June 2016 and it has barely grown any at all. I feed it twice a week and it hasn't moved from where it made home since it's been in the tank. Puzzling to say the least.

I don't know about creepy lol but it is certainly disappointing. The water quality is great as I have a number of SPS which are doing really well. I'm not sure what the deal is with it but I guess even the ocean life has dwarfs so to speak.

I only test on Saturdays and only the four below parameters unless I'm seeing something not right.

Phos - .03
Alk - 10.3
Calc - 400
Mag - 1300

Salinity - 1.026
PH - averages about 7.9
Temp - 77

I have a similar problem in my tank. Mine has moved around quite a bit more settled for about a month or two then I switched lights and he started to move again. I hope he settles down find a spot he likes and starts to grow properly.
