Anemone problem?

I think that looks way better! Like someone else said, I've seen my anemone do some pretty crazy things, the day I got it it's guts were spewed out everywhere but it recovered! I'm not the most experienced with these things, but to me it looks better, maybe like it's acclimating? If it moved low in the tank after you changed your lights it could have been trying to hide from them.... ??? And maybe now is becoming acclimated? Good luck!!

Anemone is looking better everyday, but today was really wierd. It was looking great, and an hour later I came back and some slimy gut looking stuff was hanging off it, and it was deflated. The stuff was a lightish brown in colour. It seems to be ok now, but I was panicking hard for a few, hopefully it was just exchanging water or taking a number 2...

Pic from today, tentacles getting longer every day.

I was so happy to see this update on your anemone!!!!! Congratulations!! My anemone is like my baby. Everything in my tank is like my babies! I hate when things go wrong but am so happy when there is a happy ending. As far as the color goes, I think it will get better with time. I was just thinking of your anemone today because my anemone now has some little stubs and it is in NO WAY starving. He just seems to like to have little ones some days and long ones others. Strange creatures they are. :) Mine had a ripped foot once. He went under a rock for a month and came out three times bigger.

Thanks justthewife!
xray my anemone moved around for the first week, then picked the spot it is in now. When I switched to LEDs it moved near the bottom of the tank, but it has since moved back to the old spot, it's been there for 3 weeks. Hopefully it stays this time...

Hello I am in need of help. I am not sure what this anemone is or if the behavior is typical. I have had the anemone for three days. I tried feeding it brine shrimp and it began emitted the brown really smoke and appeared to be shrinking. Is this normal. The behavior occurs mostly when the light goes on. Okay it's not letting me attach the pic. The anemone is purple and green and looks like a carpet with much bigger tentacles.

@Olivia396

Start a new thread in this same section we will be glad to help you out. And yes that part is normal so far.

Hopefully my final update in this thread, the anemone looks like it did back when I first got it. Even though I haven't fed it for 2 weeks it seems to be doing just fine
