Anemone Tentacles "Branching"

Im noticing that many of the tentacles on my anemone are "branching" out. in other words, until now it seemed like all the tentacles were one long, single, straight "string". now, some of them are branching, like a tree branch.

is this good, normal??

mine are doing the same thing. its just a different growth pattern, should be fine

Bifurcation is perfectly normal, though it doesn't necessarily mean it is doing well or badly.

everyone that said theyres is too.. did it just start recently??

mines suddenly doing it too!! I had it happen once to the monther all over. it split and i kept a clone. it never did it till this week

How would it know the time of year if it is on a set photoperiod?

At least in plants, the trees know what time of year it is by how long the sun is up.

there's other factors besides light. for example, we have a plant, a christmas cactus, that blooms every year this time. nothing much changes in the light its gets nor the temp. the moon can do some crazy things. oohhhhhh.

Not a technical word at all (at least I don't think it is in this particular circumstance). It was merely the first word that came into my already demented mind It is a general word for any sort of split (into two) of an elongated tip/branch, etc. I wish I knew what, if anything specific, causes it, but it doesn't appear to correlate with anything in particular that I have seen.
