I'm very backed up with threads I want to share with you guys... I'll catch up over the next month or so as time (and the family!) allows... but... for now... I want all angelfish fans opinions... let's have some fun...

What species do you believe this angel to be? Everyone please give your opinion... even you casual angels people! :)

Here is my guess:
Pomocanthus rhomboides

Had it been someone else posting the pic I would have said Pomocanthus navarchus.

I won't say much so as to not to jade people's opinions... but it is not Pomacanthus rhomboides... FYI for those who do not know Pomacanthus rhomboides is an East African fish that is now the only rare (read non-existent) Pomacanthus sp. in the hobby...

Don't read too much into it... just give me your opinion! This will be fun... :)

Hmm...figured maybe it was another uber rare addition for your collection :)

Pulled one of my books and maybe a Pomocanthus asfer, lets see a full body pic :)

+1 on the Pomacanthus rhomboides (aka Old Woman Angel)

Again, if it wasnt John, I would say Pomacanthus xanthometopon hybrid...

Mathfreak71 thank you... this question is for everyone... give your opinion based on that shot!

Michael... just give me your opinion! :p I am just asking for what you think based on that shot...

Thanks Chris... again it is not rhomboides...

I should have gotten a new username before posting this... :D Guys just tell me what you think it is as if some random guy posted... :D Don't read to far in because it's me! :)

Keep the opinions coming! And yes that means YOU too!

My first instinict was a koran as well, due to the blotches of adult coloration you can somewhat see in the pic. The bar behind the eye usually is white, but I have seen them blue to a faded blue in some, especially when changing, like this one seems to be. I am sure there is something different about it, it can't be just a normal koran, unless you collected it yourself :D

Juvi Navarchus (Blue Girdled)? Or maybe juvi Xanthometopn (Blue Face). Or a hybrid of the two? Holacanthus Navarchus. :D

Could be a Koran. You can see it's brown starting to show towards the back. But I can't believe copps would tease us just for a Koran. :)

My guess is also a hybrid of these 2 pomacanthus.
