I've used a Reef Fanatic dual level controller for 6 years. I cant even visually see the level change in the sump. People also like the units from autotopoff.com. The one that gets the most complaints is the JBJ since it needs a 1" level change. I like Aqualifters for topoff pumps. They are super cheap ($12), pump at a very slow rate, and pumping Kalk doesn't hurt them.

thanks. i guess i never thought about an ATO system, honestly. i was just gonna use a mj1200 on a timer for a minute or two a day to push water into the sump.
my question now is with an ATO will i be getting enough limewater into my tank to keep up with my tanks requirements( as low as they are )

Maybe. That's hard to guess, since the tank's demand can increase when limewater is used.

right jonathan. i have a softy, lps tank that i use limewater on now but i drip it via a doser.

I would start with 1 teaspoon/gallon and see how it goes. Generally a good conservative starting point.
