Any LED users on BIG tanks?

I am running 6 apollo leds on my 400 gallon 96x36x27. I am getting very good results. I switched from 400 watt halides and VHOs. It took about 2 months for sps to get used to the light. I had some bleaching and browning but have now recovered . The LPS and softies did very well from the get go.

Vince, you happen to have a build thread or pictures with your lighting? I'm currently bringing up a 140 gallon frag tank and will be putting a 600 gallon DT (96X48X30) in the near future and have been considering the dimmable Apollo fixture.

I've also been thinking about changing with my 210 gallon. I'm just really skepitcal now because they keep updating what the customers are complaining about in an upgraded model. I would hate to pull the trigger on 2k lights and 6 months later they are updated again.

Dustin,
I don't have a build thread but a video of my tank can be seen on the apollo website. For those who are thinking of buying the ebay lights, please don't do it. To try to save money I purchased a unit to check it out. It was nothing compared to the apollos. The heatsink installed was less than an eight of an inch and the par was very low. Also the fans were very loud.

upgraded to a 8' 450g DT in June '10...got a good deal (on RC) on some 6' Solaris I5 LED units. Since the tank is 40" front to back, I used 2 units, supplemented with eight 4' T5s.
Been very happy with LEDs and have had very good growth...even SPS on sandbed, which is 35" below the lights. (most SPS were frags/very sm. colonies 2 yrs ago)
Did not use chiller past 2 summers, first time in past 7 years.

WOW! Your tank looks fantastic with all the fish. They really brings your tank to life. Did you ever keep a list of what you have in there? Sure must be a big bio load. Kind of looks like the check-in at the Marage.Happy reefing---Rick
