Any of you not use GAC in your SPS only tanks?

I don't use it unless i want to run a bit of GFO for a week and then i only drop the carbon bag in the sump baffle to block the flow more to force water through the GFO bag.

I haven't run GAC in almost a year in a sps heavy tank with no problems. I do run a large UV sterilizer that does break down organics. Not a ulns but always 0 no3 and po4 below .06. I am understocked for my water volume also.

Over 4 yrs without ! No problems here

Even though I no longer run Zeovit, I have continued to use GAC passively in my sump, as per the Zeovit guidelines. Does anyone see a negative from using it? Seemed like a cheap and easy way to get good water clarity, but maybe there are some other drawbacks that I'm not aware of?

Since I started using GAC (again) I've noticed that some of my corals' color improved (tort, staghorn) and some have faded (loripes, surahasoni). I'm hoping the fading will diminsh once they get used to the lower nutrient levels in the tank.
