Just in at my LFS. The purple really is that purple and it also has a snow white border.

Yup there are some beauties out there. I have seen some in the wild that were so bright they made your eyes burn :)

I have seen these guys in sand AND rock in the wild. Kinda like H. crispa - small ones in the sand, large ones in the rocks. When they are in the rock they like to be tucked into a crevice or crack - unlike H. magnifica that sits out in the open up on top.

For whatever reason I don't see many with clowns. Not NONE with clowns - but just not as many.

I had a small one - 3" or so- about 3 years ago. It arrived attached to what looked like a large whelk shell but when placed in my tank it migrated to the sand but adjacent to a rock just like a haddoni would. As it approached 6" in size it left the sand and moved up into the rockwork. Some time later I sold it as it wasn't particularly attractive, being a dull monochrome green. It's grip was incredibly strong so it had to go with its rock..... This one won't be leaving.
