Anyone have experience with Jason Fox Acro Red Dragon

Picked a frag up last December. Not fire engine red, but definitely red.

Over time it has probably tripled in size, but lost it's color. Under light it looks almost completely dead. When the lights are off, it has a light pink hue.

It's about mid way up in the tank. Has plenty of space around it. Tons of flow, as I have 3 MP10's blowing around.

I can't figure out why it's growing, but losing all color.

Suggestions?

Sounds like everything is doing good but it needs a little dirtier water. Try feeding your fish more.

Mine did the same thing. I moved it down to only 3 inches above bottom of my rocks and it's starting to get color back. I must have been blasting with too much light.

imo red dragon does not need too much light. I have a frag at the sandbed and it's still very nice.

Its a deepwater bub so its used to low light but I heard it puts on a pinker redish color in medium light so Im a little confused. Just move it around and let us know what she does.

What exactly is *Jason Fox* red dragon? I have the old skool red dragon that been distributing around for years and it grows like weed even on the bottom corner.

I had mine in lowish light and it got brown except for the growing ends which were white. I put it close to the top around 450 par and it got very light and pinkish.....not nearly what they look like on D.D. (where I got it) it was not very good looking even when I got it. I think those guys juice the photos a bit......ever notice how fantastic the plugs look in some of their photos....I never had a plug look that colorful !!!!!!

I personally have 3 dragon colonies in my tank. par from 400 to 600. They really are quick growers. The one in the higher par is lighter with more bluish tips, the lowest is the most red. This coral like some nitrate, I often dose sodium nitrate because carbon dosing drives it to 0 very easily, I would say best color with nitrate at 2.5

Consensus here seems to be move it down. So that's what I'll do. Hopefully it bounces back.

And yes, agreed. A lot of these sites are no strangers to photoshop :)
