Anyone have hyacinthus colonies?

I was wondering if anyone had one of these cool tabling acros out there. I just picked up a piece yesterday and am looking forward to see it grow out. Any tips on light and flow this coral likes? I assume high and strong flow, but just making sure. Would love to see pics!

Nice piece, mine is a green version, looks a little yellow/brown right now, hopefully it'll color up nicely. It has a sky blue color where it is encrusting, I'll try and get a pic.

When I saw the thread newly posted without reply yet, I was asking myself where the heck is that Mr. Pluto, is he stopping browsing RC?

Did you move the colony down? IIRC the colony was up higher.

If the picture was taken recently I can tell the color is deeper than when I saw it last time.

Fast growers, love high light and flow.

Really? I though I just IDed one of my own and it is in the shade coloring up great and growing fast. It's new growth is teal and the old burnt piece is yellow/green. Might have to take a second look at it.

Isn't red planet hyacinthus ?

And I was wondering the same thing? Some one told me it's a milli, but that can't be right.

Def. not a Milli

in my piece that i have, which is not a red planet, if
the colony is getting stronger light , it tends to lose its richer color
but grows really fast.... it still needs constant flow. the bigger one i have
has more flow & light.

This is my hyacinthus frag I got. It has a nice sky blue rim on the new growth. Can't really see how bright it is in this pic
