Anyone have styrofoam lying around?

Since my stand I built will be on carpet I decided to put styrofoam under the tank to help level it. I went to Homedepot and they have styrofoam but only in 8'x4' peices and was wondering if someone locally already bought some and had some lying around before I buy that huge peice and figure out how to carry it home.

Thanks

ps- I need a 48.5"x13" peice.

Matt here an idea....when I setup my tank it also was on carpet. What I came up with was ceramic tile on top of the carpet.....the tank is perfectly level. I put the tile on tile board...cost about 20 bucks the whole project. I think it came out great

bckane thats a great idea. I thought of something similar but was worried that the pressure where the tank was and where it wasnt on the tile would crack the tile. I also have never worked with tile so I thought I'd go the easy/cheap way.

Thanks for the help

i have styrafoam laying around, if you need some smaller pieces. what may be even better for your application is the panels of foam housing insulation.

I'm insulating our new office/workout room with some sheets of 3/4" foamboard if you want some of that.
I'll cut you as big a piece as you want, but I really don't see why you would want to use that under a tank... it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Brian had an awesome idea and it looks great.
If you didn't want to go thru all that tiling trouble you could just get a sheet of marine plywood, and paint/waterproof it, or use those self-sticking vinyl tiles over it.

Anyway, let me know if you still want the foamboard.
I'll bring it to the frag swap if you do.
