just wanted to know if any one else on here into fishing?

bass, pike, walleye, cappy, pan fish..etc..well anything.
maybe we can share hot spots and tip and tricks.

Meee... but I'm not where you are.
I enjoy going to state fishing access areas...
Offshore it's mostly bass, perch, etc..

I've only fished for walleye in a boat, those are my faaaavorite!
And although I've hooked a few pike, I don't think I've ever actually pulled one in. I don't use steel lead lines.

I'd like to learn fly fishing someday, but not before I get my motorcycle. :)

hey me too. actually i fish for anything really, i don't eat the fish, but it fun to catch them. i hook on to a lot of pikes ask KTAR, that one of my fishing partner..

i fly only for salmon/steel heads/brown in the fall when it best.

i never been near sy to fish, the close is to waterloo or the refguee, but i driven around the whole state to fish..up north to the south east to west but never sy..dunno why

I go fishing about once a month with my daughter BUT our definition of fishing is going to the stores to see what sw fish we can buy!

We do fish (with poles and worms) during the summer from our boat either on Oneida Lake or the St. Lawrence River. Mostly perch and bass.

I used to fish for walleye in Minnesota and I could catch sooo many. I miss that. I have been off shore fishing a couple of times in Buffalo, but I don't go very offten. I have only been out once this year.

I haven't been fishing in a boat in years, but that is one of my favorite pasttimes if given the opportunity. I'm definately looking for some good areas locally, not from the area originally and don't really know the area all that well yet, but trying!

we go above the 1000 islands every year (Lake Rideau). Natural lake, lots of islands.......great layout for fishing. Bass, pike, bullhead, perch.....lake trout and if you are near the locks a walleye every once in a while

I personally love fishing on lake chataqua mostly for perch and bass. Walleye too in a bunch of the 70+ ft deep holes on the northern end of the lake. I've also heard of some people fishing for Muskies there, but I never have the patience to troll forever :D

Best experience I ever had there was on the south side of Tom's Point during a downpour just outside the edge of the weeds. Couldnt pull the fish in fast enough. Musta caught 20+ in the span of 40 mins or so.

skifletch, that's one of my favorite lake for L.bass, and big sunny(blue gills), 1k islands( black lake) area is good, webster( sodus point and some other dunno know how to explane it) great for L.bass), the bay area(webster or irond) is good for mostly everything when there not alot of boats going in and out to the lake, waterloo(manasuma wifelife refgu) is great for everything.

so that my spots that i can thing of from the top of my head.

i go when ever i can. 2-3 weekly

kase I have place in sodus on the east side by connelly's cove and skippers landing. Great Bass over there by Leroy Island.

Yeah, I love fly fishing, and fishing in general Looking forward to memorial weekend when I can get out on the lake. I am trying to locate a place here in Tampa bay where you can fish for Peacock bass.

The Walleye don't come to Buffalo until mid Summer. Go out until you're around 90 - 100' of water and troll at about 80'. I find Walleye fishing ho-hum but I do enjoy the taste. It's more of a harvest that fishing.

I do enjoy fishing for the little native Brook Trout in the smaller creeks around Warsaw.

stoller that why i was talking about leroy island, great bass spots. i've been to durka(spelling) erie for walleyes. didn't do so good. guy right about that until mid to later summer. but i have heard that they come up to spawn in the early spring in a river ohio area out side of ceveland.

there is a great spot for lil browns and rainbowshere in roch, powder mill and a park in fairport.

Yeah, I agree about the walleye. Boring to fish for but man do they taste good. Never fished for them in Erie, but in Chataqua, they leave the holes in august and come shallow near the weeds and especially docks of all places. Because the holes are so comparatively small to erie, I pretty much just float over them in the evening/night and just jig for them at about 70'. Works well early in the season, but late its pretty much a waste of time. Better off just fishing off a dock.

I usually head out into lake erie, mostly bass and walleye. if I head into the niagara river you can catch musky and pike but that can be tricky sometimes. in the fall Ill head into the lower niagara for salmon trout and steelhead. and this time of year Ill hit up the southern tier for some brown and rainbow trout in the streams before the bass get going(which is soon).

walleye come into about 20' of water or so in julyish usually and after that you have to head deep. 80' for or so and we usually catch quite a few when we do go out. the bass fishing on lake erie I think is fanominal. this time of year I seem to catch the big ones and all through the summer you can catch them. I just drift minnows off the bottom and it seems to work great.

People come from all over to try Wiscoy Creek. I was too young to really get into it when i lived in Pike and haven't given it much thought since

I go to Eastkoy (Pike NY) once a week or so for Browns. It's a staple food here at the Comstocks. I take a bucket and keep to the limit of 2 over 12" and 3 under 12".

Love drowning worms.. :)
There's a place up near Sackett's Harbor we go camping called Long Point, can't count the perch I've caught. Your bait never hits bottom, it's great.

I think half the reason I don't eat fish, is all the tumors on the bullhead I watched float by as a kid growing up on the Niagara River. Fun to catch, tho. :D

We're going up to the Adirondacks this year, and I've never fished any of the spring fed lakes up there. Hoping I can use it as an excuse to get a new Ultra-light, and not tell the wifey (I think my old one broke?). Should I get some lure's, or just use live bait?
