anyone here into FISHING?

ReeferMac, where you going in the Adirondacks? I've fished quite a few of the various ponds. Some great trout ponds up here, and although I don't flyfish, the Saranac and Ausable are usually ranked very high nationally for flyfishing hotspots, and I'd love to give it a shot.

Best luck i've had is right at the fair entrance under the bridge (next to cattle barn entrance) A brown and rainbow that were 10 and 12" respectively (with buddy of mine). Other than that i never had any luck. Of course that was when i was 13-14 so things are quite different now.

wow...we have alot of fisher men/women we should a fishing meet or tournament as a prize will have frags.....:) everyone put one frag in and the winner take all....just for fun or we donate to the zoo tank...how about that?????

I'm going up to a cabin across the road from Cranberry Lake. It's a private lake, so the fishing should be good.... just never fished up in those lakes, so I don't know what tackle to use.

I stink at fishing but love it. I've fished Hemlock which is a stingy lake and also Honeoye. For fun when I lived in Henrietta I would go somewhere in the city down into a gorge and fish next to a powerplant, huge fish.

If you guys want some good non-eating fishing, I hear Onondaga Lake is great these days.
Being arguably the most polluted lake in the U.S. or whatever... it's not heavily fished.. and there has been a decrease in mercury in fish flesh.
:D
