Anyone know what's wrong with this leopard wrasse?

Since last night, this particular leopard wrasse has been out of the sand. Kinda scooting along the sand, hasnt dove back in, curls and twirls while swimming. Heavy breathing. Also, don't remember her being this dark compared to the other two. Any ideas? Is she dying? :(

The video is not definitive. However, I agree, the swimming "technique" does not appear to be normal.

I wish it would upload clearer than this. It's quite sad, mr. Steve. All the posts I read about leopards not being able to dive into sand is worrying me. This is the first time all three have been out at the same time. But she has been out since last night.

She scoots her face long the same, and beats her pec fins really fast, and then twists and turns. Then stops then repeats.

Last night some squirrly stringy poop, white coming from her butt.

This morning still swimming around, but looking dismal and grim. :(

I already dosed PP on Saturday and I will dose again.

I think is is the one I've had a few weeks. I thought swim bladder too.

It's sad to see this happening, especially when you look at capture techniques. :(

Do they recover from swim bladder issues?

+1 decompression. Swim pattern is the only visible red flag, and if horizontal movement is fine but vertical is not, it may be because of the pressure. I've seen some fish able to regulate over time as long as they're eating and don't give up, but you should do more research. Idk if there's anything you can do to help, but there may be

you can make a home decompression tube with some pvc and then using a smaller size pvc to be submerged inside the larger tube to fix swim bladder issues associated with improper decompression. If you search on google you can see what im referring to and how to build it.

You should probably put her in a acclimation box during the day so she doesn't have to try so hard to swim and stay put

I can't add anything with regards to the condition of the fish. However, when taking videos with your phone, you might rotate the handset onto its side while filming. This will produce a video with the proper aspect ratio and the huge black bars will not be present in the embedded player.

Thanks for the tip

Mine came doa today :(. I have two but haven't seen my tiny one for a week so I may be down to one. Very sad they are such poor shippers, even from live aquaria

I had a bad ammonia spike and bacterial bloom!!!!

I think it's ammonia toxicity! I asked my wife to feed them if she sees them pop out, but she hasn't over fed them!

I tested the water a couple of days ago and the ammonia was nil! What the heck?
