Anyone Seen These?

Thanks for posting the tanks details. Tank looks great.

I honestly thought you were running LED's as well. What is your T5 tube combo? And what salt do you use? Thanks.

I use Instant Ocean. Used to use Reef Crystals but there was a deal on Instant Ocean so I got a few buckets. I only do about 4-5g a week so should last me a while. :) I do add a few ml of trace elements to the mix.

Here is the bulb combo from front to back:
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Purple Plus
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
ATI True Actinic
Giesemann Actinic

It's a dimmable sunpower so it ramps up and down. Here is how I currently have it set.

Nah, my tank is like walmart compared to your baller collection! I gotta come by soon with my fragging clippers. :D

Now you're just being modest :)

Great looking tank! Looks like you have an apex controller? What all do you have with your apex? Which dosing pump is that?

Apex really only controlling the heater, return pump, skimmer, BRS 50ml doser I use for kalkwasser, Chiller and light in sump etc.

The dosing pump is the bubble magus: Part A, Part B, and amino acid

Sahin has spoken. A tank thread you will create!(I agree with Sahin)

Wife has been dropping hint that I should do a GSP and anemone only nano so let's see how much I can drag longer. Been bribing her with coral $ when I have to trim so been working so far :)

If it stops working then I may have to set up something in the storage closet outside the yard to keep some of the pieces hahaha!

I haven't seen your tank since you switched to T5, curious about the light combo and schedule as well. I've just switched to a ATI power module w 6 bulbs and am thinking about adding a Kessil 150/160 just for the shimmer. I may have just enough room.

Also, how is your Kalk dosed-timer?,ph controlled?

Can't go wrong with that powermodule Ron. ATI/Kessil combo lighting was my all time favorite. You know you can come by anytime in person if you want :)

Kalk being dosed via BRS 50ml pump controlled by Apex. Goes on every 15 mins for about 30 seconds.

Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/000:30/014:30 Then ON
If pH > 8.39 Then OFF

Will do! Been kicking around adding the kalkwasser to my system to supplement my 2 part. I'll take more detailed notes when I'm there. Again, very nice job, your tank always looked great.

A few more pics for memory sake :)

Oregon Tort

Mother of Pearl (MOP)

Pink Lemonade - Mounted this one terribly so finally branches out after a while :)

Hawkins Echinata

Acropora caroliniana

Aussie Highlighter - Bought as Karl's Candlelight but not so sure it is :)

Branching Cyphastrea - majority of colony covered by those pink looking polyps

Don't know names of these

Super fuzzy with red and yellow tips when hit with more light

Bright purple polyps but shaded by the red table and miamid orchid :)

Some really nice SPS here.

The picture posted as German Blue Polyp appears to be a Tenuis.... compared to ORA German Blue Polyp which has completely different coralite and polyp structure.

Awesome Vu! How much kalk are you dosing daily?

Hey Sang! I'm doing about 1500-1600 ml per day. Pretty close to my top off amount on the tank during this time of year. Still need to dose about 25 ml of each on the two part to get to around 8-8.5 alk.

More photos please. :D

Need to find the charger for the camera and move some pieces around the bottom of the tank so I can actually take a good picture :)

Thank you! I believe you are correct on that one.

Never seen the MOP before ! Thats real nice. Where did you get it from?

Straight from Steve Garrett who got it from Dan & Tina @ Wet Thumbs when they first got it. Hard to capture the colors on this one. Turning out to be one of my favorites.

awesome sps.

Thank you!

Could you tell me where you have the MOP placed in the tank as far as light and flow? I've had a frag for a long time and it hasn't done anything for me.... Awesome Acro collection you have there. Thanks for posting.

I'm thinking about adding kalk to my top off reservoir even though my 2 part dosing can keep up with the demands. There's just something about kalk that corals like.

Thank you! The piece I have now has been in the tank since around end of October. Tank getting a little crowded so I still have not put it in the final spot so it's still on the Steve Garrett's trademark glass plug sitting at the bottom of the tank at around 250 par. I did noticed though that when I had it on the rack up higher in the tank, there were a lot more colors on the body and it had this sheen luster blue/greenish look to it. The tips and polyps though stay consistently bright purple up or at the bottom of the tank. It's been a decent grower for me.

I love kalk and can't really see myself running a tank without kalk. I usually start out with kalk as main dosing until it can't keep up anymore and that's when I add in the two parts to supplement.

Is that a fuge as well as a little frag area or just a frag area?

That's where I keep a few anemones and a place for new fish to get them to get used to the tank and eating nicely before they go up to the main display. DIY rack is there mostly temporary because the light for the area is just a normal ebay par 38 light and I noticed corals don't do well long term under the light I have there.
