anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Did you connect the ground wire on the 0-10V port to the ground of the pump? Otherwise they are operating with potentially isolated grounds. I would suggest putting a meter on the +0-10V output after you connect the ground and before you hook it to the VA line just to make sure that the reading is in range.

Also you are disconnecting the VA line from the Chinese controller or running without it entirely? If you are simply trying to connect to the VA line with it still hooked to the Chinese controller, you will not be successful.

The Apex 0-10V *should* work as the RA is already able to control it with its 0-10V output.

Sorry, I think I missed the details on how to control this pump on 0-10 v analog.
I have an iks aquastar with simmod 0-10v analog controller. Would love to be able to control my coming wp40 with that.

Any diagrams on how I should wire this?

I
My overflow and return pump drown both out anyway,

It took some playing with mine to eliminate the overflow noise while still making a small wave. There is NO WAY I could tolerate the noise of the splash in the overflow. That's one of the things i love about my tank it is VERY quite and I don't want anything changing that.

If it is dead quite in the room and I can here a slight whining sound but I mean VERY slight.

I can't run at full speed in my tank or I would have a tornado.

You either have bad hearing or you got a good one because mine is easily heard 10 feet away on any mode other than the lowest constant mode.

Well that's the only mode I am going to use so guess I am lucky :-).
All the others are WAY too much for my tank/corals.

I can run mine on full power and not disturb my oolite (thankfully!) in my 210gal but it's kinda loud...might need to buy another one and run them both on the low setting (that seems stupid to drop another $100 though when this single one CAN do the job)...

Might have to just learn to live with the sound then . I am loving having just ONE pump in the tank.

Forgot I had both pumps on today. Even at 15v in ELSE mode I got a call back home saying "is your tank supposed to be making a huge wave every 10 minutes?" lol

I could hear mine wind up and down when I had it running on my 65 gallon tank. My tank sits next to a desk in my living room and it was mildly annoying on W1 when I was working at the desk. Other than that it was very quiet. Hard to hear when there was any kind of background noise in the house.

Ah, found the replies page 32...so have to hook up the 0-10v to the AV wire.
Still would like to see a picture / diagram ;)

OK, Roberto from Reefangel has determined how this pump is being controlled. The VA line is using a 0 to +5V Analog signal to control the speed. Similar to the 0 to+10V method of control only limited to +5V.

So those of you with Analog dimming should be able to interface directly without the controller but you would have to make sure you did not exceed 5V.

So I understand I could wire the pump directly to the 24V DC and then have a third connection to which I can connect the + of the 0-10V (limited to 50%) analog signal.

And the - of the 0-10V analog signal?

And how do I determine which wire is which of the three wires to the pump?
