Really! I didn't know you can order this pump on Ebay.
My bad....my magic marine dosing pumps came from ebay (ordered Sun. week ago), not the wp40 but it still was not on a pre-order list

yeah 764 too
Ah, found the replies page 32...so have to hook up the 0-10v to the AV wire.
Still would like to see a picture / diagram![]()
No its fairly noisy.. All the modes the on/off drone is annoying. So is this pump going to get quieter over time or what? Pretty noisy brand new....
Here is a photo of the test harness that Roberto from Reefangel constructed. Hopefully he does not mind me posting it here. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand explanations :eek2:

In the above photo:
the blue wire appears to be ground
the yellow wire is the +5V analog control signal (labelled VA on the controller's board)
the brown wire is the +24V DC
The white wire is the connector for the 0-10V analog connected between ground and +5V analog input to the pump. Remember you have to keep the signal from your device toa maximum of 5 volts.

I love how the other guy said.. "really mines quiet"
and then we find out hes only run it in "L" low mode. :uhoh3:
yeah that noise is fine.. but anything else is annoying.
The sound transfers right through the mount and resonates on the glass.
I'll probably mess around with the mount/some pads,etc.. and see if it gets better. If I just hold it in the tank its not "that bad"
So there are two white wires coming off the connector. One white wire will connect to the blue wire and the other white wire connects to the yellow wire. The white connector plugs into a 0-5v analog controller and the round connector with blue and brown wires goes back into the Jebo controller. Correct?
A 0-5v controller will be able to ramp up and down the pump speed while preserving the 6 modes of the factory controller. Correct?
SUCCESS!
The module Floyd used DOES work with the Apex 100%. FINALLY! The module HAS to have 0-10v control.
The original controller modes are retained too as thought. For instance, I can turn on ELSE mode for its randomness, and just vary the intensity throughout the day. Feed mode can be assigned like usual for the Apex.
If you leave it on H mode, you can start/stop the pump with your own wavemaking action that you program in, run the pump at any intensity you desire, or best yet, sync 2 pumps with 2 of these modules.
I can take pics and make a tutorial later, but I want to play around more.

Mcgyvr, is there a rubber suction cup on the dry and wet side of the magnet base on your pump? I noticed in the video posted by someone unboxing the pump, the rubber suction cup on the wet side of the magnet seems to be missing. If that's the case, that may explain the noise.

I am confused. Dartier said the analog voltage needed to control the pump cannot be higher than 5V and now you are saying it works with 0-10V. Who is right?
No, this mod would replace the factory controller entirely with your own. E.g. Any external source that is able to generate a 0-5V analog signal (or 0-10V limited to 50%).
In the case of the Reefangel, new programs are being worked on that will allow the popular Vortech like modes, syncing and anti-syncing, etc. Once you have this hooked to your aquarium controller, the only limitation is what your aquarium controller offers, or if your controller offers it, what you can dream up to program it to do.
If you want to keep using the factory controller modes, this mod is NOT for you. For that usage, use a variable power supply or the in-line PWM that Floyd found.
