anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Anyone having problems with the light sensor working right? Mine will work fine if you have the lights on and you cover the sensor with your finger; but if you actually ually turn the lights off it flips to night mode then goes back to regular mode....???

Its not reliable. I don't use it.

Dimming Outlet to use with the ELSE profiles. Modify the times to your liking.

Base_Var1 (WP40-L)

Set PM-Else
If Time 07:00 to 10:00 Then AM-Else
If Time 10:01 to 21:00 Then Day-Else
If Time 21:01 to 23:00 Then PM-Else
If FeedA 000 Then Feed

I placed my controller on top of the canopy where there is not much light the light sensor just kept switching the controller back and forth between regular and night mode. I got rid of it and just use my RKE to turn it off at night. I guess you can wire a pot and insert it into the port and turn it down manually at night to slow down the pump.

SUCCESS!

The module Floyd used DOES work with the Apex 100%. FINALLY! The module HAS to have 0-10v control.

The original controller modes are retained too as thought. For instance, I can turn on ELSE mode for its randomness, and just vary the intensity throughout the day. Feed mode can be assigned like usual for the Apex.

If you leave it on H mode, you can start/stop the pump with your own wavemaking action that you program in, run the pump at any intensity you desire, or best yet, sync 2 pumps with 2 of these modules.

I can take pics and make a tutorial later, but I want to play around more.

Bhazard, I know you were successful in getting the same PMW module that Floyd used to work. What about this PMW module you mentioned earlier which is 1/4 the price of the one Floyd used? Will it work also?

I'm going to try it on my other pump again tonight. I was using the wrong wires on the ethernet cord to the apex (orange-white, orange is V3... blue-white, green is V1).

Very interested in seeing the results. I have these coming to me right now and would love for them to work instead of the $40 ones.

What exactly do you mean? So for those who don't have a controller we will still be able to run it the same way a vortec has the ability to run?

exactly
couple days ago i finish the Reef crest coding. , i would like some suggestions on what do we want to do...
i have in mind ReefCrest , and Pulse , also the ability to be connected into 5 or 6 jebaos and cooperate with each other.

Wave modes
Reef Crest
Lagoon mode
Nutrient Transport Mode
Tidal Swell mode
Sync / Anti-Sync

I never used much else other than these.

It will be awesome to be able to run all of these modes randomly or different mode at different times of the day!

You could with the Apex and WXM module, except:

2x MP40: $465
WXM module: $125

So for the low, low price of $1,055, I can push water and make waves randomly.

2x WP40: $210
PWM module/harness: $10-40 x 2

For $290 tops, I can do the same thing. You can even use 1 pump easily and make a huge wave on a 6ft tank. I fear the size of the wave with two of these anti-synced at 100%.

Open source controllers or third party controllers for this pump would be killer.

I am an RKE user for many years and have not paid much attention to open source controllers like ReefAngel until now. I am impressed with how quickly they can react to new product like the WP40 and will look into RA more in depth. Who knows may be I will be selling my RKE too:lol: Anyone trying to talk me out of going down this path?

Nope sold my RKE in favor of a reefangel. Best move to date. They are not even close to being on The same level.

Ya'll must have really quiet tanks, mine is running on W1 24v and I had to put my ear fairly close to hear it. Can't hear it at all from 2 feet away, but I do have 2 Iwaki's (1 return & 1 closed loop) running all the time.

Don't get me wrong its not too loud but it's not silent. I'm laying in bed with the door open and I can hear the jebo in my dining room tank 20 ft away.

Is the RA+ worth it over the RA? $50 for 256k memory is quite a bit.

I'm using the standard RA and am extremely happy with it, currently it's running an 8 port box and I have plenty of memory headroom left. If it proves to be tight once I add another 8 port box and wireless down the road then I'll just do a board swap which is only $75 I believe.

I have custom screen code, 4 led strings, 2 heaters, a single wave maker and an ATO along with the PH probe and a single Temp probe right now and am at 27k memory use.

Waiting on the WP 25's to come out before deciding which pump/pumps to go with.

Does anyone know how to use the lock function. In my tank there is a fine line between too much wave and not enough. Once I get it dialed in I would like for it not to be able to adjusted.

I haven't tried it but the manual said to press and hold the FEED button until the LOCK light comes on. Do the same to unlock and the LOCK light will turn off.
