anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I will add to my last post it is over priced if all you're getting it for is the pump which I would, it's a beat for the rest of your tank for the money

didnt get on the group buy but bought one off ebay with the new controller for 90$ shipped on wed, and it got here today.

This thing is a beast!!!!! such wide flow!! i have it on else mode for now in a 93G.

It is kinda big lol but it moves so much water!!! :celeb1:

Recieved mine also... Have to agree that it is super powerful and also big. Also running it in else mode ...

For those guys using 2 how you use them becuase mine is in the side and it reaches perfectlly the other side??? Also have anybody tried using them in the back corners rather than them in the sides???

Thanks for the input becuase still deciding if i am going to buy another one for the other side...

I had 1 WP40 min my 180g tank and it is/was a bit too much for me. I'm switching to 2 WP25's and will run them in 8 hour increments with 2 or 3 hours of overlap. Pump1 from midnight to 8am, P2 from 6am till 2pm, P1 noon to 8 pm, P2 6pm till 2 am. That will give flow from either side and some mix of both as well. Heck, I might even put in an hour or 2 of down time. The idea is to vary the flow as much as possible to keep things stirred up. It also duplicates the tides (sort of, kinda, a little).

Need recommendations! I have a 90 and I want to replace my Koralia 1050 pumps. I run three of them right now. I have been looking at the Tunze waveboxes when I came across this thread. Does this wavemaker pull the gunk off the sand and rockwork and suspend it like the Tunze's and Vortechs do? What size should I get for my tank? Two WP40s or two WP25s? If I go with the WP40's, can I dial back the speed enought with the knob so water doesnt slosh out? Thank you for your time.

I purchased 2 of these pumps for my 215 gal DT. 1 of the controllers is defective in that the knob that controls the length of the wave does absolutely nothing. The pump still works and so does ALL of the different settings. The other pump is fine. I tried contacting Jebao for a new controller, (I have the older version not the new speed controller), and they want to sell me a replacement controller and tack on $35 for shipping to the US.

Anyone know of a place that is just selling the upgraded controllers locally? I tried contacting fishstreet but they will only sell to customers who originally purchased the pump through them, (I puchased mine through a group buy directly with Jabeo).

Pumps are still great for the price but this is what happens with customer service.

try something like this or make your own box and slap a wp25 or wp40 in it. You will be happy with the flow you get.

I don't intend this to be mean or rude, but that is the issue isn't it. It's a risk we all take when we buy from companies that don't want to do customer service. You bought it, your stuck with it. It's the gamble we all have taken... you just came out on the short end of the stick.

Here are 3 possibilities:
1) Buy another pump... maybe from FishStreet this time and pay the full ride. And then keep the broken one for spare parts.
2) Get somebody who did buy a pump from FishStreet.com to order the controller for you and consider yourself lucky a distributor does better customer service than the manufacturer. Oh, and you've still saved money compared to buying a Tunze or Eco Tech.
3) Pay Jebao what they want.

Pulled the trigger and ordered 1 wp25 for my 65 mixed reef. Got 3 koralias in there now. 2 on the side and one in the middle. Been running the two on the side in a pattern with my Apex (they run backwards half the time obviously) and the one in the middle stays on constantly. Hoping this one Wp25 will be enough. I'm tired of having 3 pumps in my tank.

Anyone have a similar tank and can recommend some settings for this pump to me?

Anyone out there that purchased a pump from fish street and has a massive caring heart for helping fellow reefers in desperate need ? :wavehand: I need your help ! I'm just asking well more like pleading for help ! Can you please let me borrow your invoice number on a wp40 so I can order the missing rubber on my pump.

This sounds like a Craigslist add or something lol fish street is the only place that has them but for people who purchased from them only. My pump is missing the front impeller rubber and my fish are not happy with the new chattering machine I add to their home !

Yea might what to keep one koralias across the wp-25 cuz it will hit your sand bottom that's no fun but it will be plenty of flow.

PM me your address and I'll send you a set of the new front and back bushings. I ordered several sets from them so I have a spare set!

Dont mean to repeat myself, but should I get two WP25's or two WP40's? If I can dial them back enough, I wan the bigger ones so I can upgrade tanks later. Reccomendations please

I have a 75 gal. which is basically the same footprint as your 90 and I have 2 wp40's and 2 wp25's just to try out. I tried with just 1 wp40 turned down as far as I could before it shuts off and it was still to much flow. I used 2 wp25's on else mode and get great flow but have them turned down to about 75%. right now I only have 1 wp25 running full speed on else mode because my anemone split and wanted to sit to close to my other wp25 so I just took it out. even with just 1 wp25 though I am still getting great flow.

so I would strongly suggest getting 2 wp25's for the 90 and when you do upgrade to a bigger tank then sell the 25's and get the 40's

I would suggest the 2 WP-25's for a 90, but if you want the larger ones because you want to upgrade your tank later, then you have answered your own question.

The knob on the controller is only to adjust the frequency of the wave, not how fast the pump spins to do that you need a voltage regulator and run it no less then 50% or use a third party controller like and Apex or Reef Angel.
