anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

First time cleaning it ? and how did you clean it ?

Yes I hadnt cleaned it before. I noticed it wasnt moving water so I messed with it a little then took it out and soaked it in vinegar, pulled it apart and cleaned the impeller. Reassembeled it and nothing.

I messed with it some more last night and by spinning the propeller manually I got it working again but if you bump it it shuts off.

Sorry about the delay in replying. Sounds awfully like cleaning. The movement means that the magnet is actually working. Get a light shine it in there to see if there's gunk around the impeller, give it a serious clean out. I believe you can get some pretty hardcore stuff to clean a powerhead thees days.

I had mine for about 8 months. The last 3 months of which, I was away from my tank for an extended period of time. Somewhere in there, for unknown reasons, the pump failed. I plan to try again when I put my tank back together though.

Actually mine also dies around 8 months but Fish Street service is +1. They replaced the motor without asking a question and fst shipping. Only asked for shipping cost.

GREAT SERVICE...

After doing some shopping around I ran into the newer model the rw series which I plan on purchasing. Im looking to just get a single, would a single rw-8 or rw-15 be more suitable for a 4x2x2 120g tank? I've got mainly sps from the middle to top of the tank, and lps/sofites/zoas on the bottom. Thanks for the help, I hope the rw series have a longer track record than 8mo!

Anyone tried the rw20. I'm building a 120 gallon and thinking of getting one. I've had a wp40 for over a year with no problems but I ll need a bigger one for the 120g

I have not posted on this thread in quite some time but I have had my WP 40 since pretty much they first came out. I will admit that I have been extremely lazy with mine and honestly I don't remember having to ever clean. One of them has a pretty good purple coating on the outside of it but runs flawlessly the other one was in a mor shaded area so it was still black and also continues to run flawlessly. I did upgrade them to getting the dual controller which I really like. I just wish I could relocate the light sensor on it so that it can see my lights when it is on the side of my stand. That way I could actually use the night mode built-in but it is not necessary. Given all of that I do plan to take them out and clean them here soon but they run perfectly so its hard to get myself to do it. In light of the performance of these two pumps I also bought a dc6000. On my old tank this one ran is it closed loop flawlessly for 6 months. I have now put it in place in my new system as the main pump and again here it runs flawlessly. The best part it is on the smaller system with the WP 40 s at 50 and the DC 6000 at 20% and running a small AC pump skimmer I use 0.7 amps of power

Hi....quick question, I started my 125 about 3 months ago, currently have 2 Hydor Evolution 1500s one on each end connected to a hydor wavemaker. I want to add either a wp25 or wp40 and keep the hydors running. Should I go with the 25?

go for 25 and if your removing your old pump then buy 40 both are very powerful

anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

yesterday brought one mp40 for my 120 gal tank and flow is awesome kept in else mode

I got the RW-8, keep it on wave and change to else alternate days and run my hydors that alternate every minute on the hydor wave maker, everything is happy

I just purchased a wp40 and simply am amazed! It pushes water very effectively ! As I was reading thru this thread everyone is talking about a light sensor. Are the newer versions already built in? Or is this piece an add on you have to buy?
