Anyone used Silicone sheets from McMaster? Reef safe?

It says food grade, made from FDA listed materials. I contacted McMaster, they said there is no coating on the silicone.
I want to use a solid sheet of silicon to dampen some vibrations inside the sump, but I don't want to use the silicon pads BRS sells because they are textured (the pads have grooves) that I've had problems collecting detritus before. So I was thinking this solid sheet would work out better if it is reef-safe.

Sounds like they'd be just fine. I'd use one without thinking twice about it. I sue silicone hot pads. All of a couple dollars each for ~12x12

The sheets at mcmaster are totally fine..

As stated simple "hot pads" from any kitchen store work just fine too and are likely far cheaper..
Rubber table leg pads/feet work too as well as many other things..

Ok good, glad to hear that.
Yeah these are pricey. I was just trying to find something with smooth surfaces, so no places detritus can build up.

Don't be afraid of a little detritus...Its great food for various life forms in the tank...;)
A little bit settling around the pump wont do anything..
