Anyone using only VHO T12 for Acros ?

Just was wondering if anyone had great success having only t12 vho uri lamps growing sps .

One of my friends has a aquarium where mh was not an option due to a low light cover so he has a total of 8 vho t12 where 4 are actinic and 4 super actinic mixed with aquasun uri. The tank is a 180 72 24 24 high.

I was curious to see some results and if anyone had any suggestions with regards to having this light intensity.

Montipora is also something he really likes.

I know I have seen sps tanks with only vho that were very nice, but I can't find the pics.

paolo - I am using two VHO but running them with two 250w MH above 75g tanks.

I ran 630 watts vho over a 75G. 2 110 watt super actinics, 2 110 watt 50/50's and 2 95 watt aquasuns. (I used two icecap ballasts). The light was nice, buy the sps growth was poor. I changed out the aquasuns and 50/50's for a new 4 bulb t-5 retro kit run on one of the icecap ballasts (4 bulb setup) I kept the 2 110 watt super actinics running on the smaller icecap ballast. Growth and color are much better now.
