Apex Firmware Update - 4.12 Beta

Graphs do not display in Chrome 17.0.963.46 on OSX. They work in FF and IE.
White Flash when switching pages
I had to recalibrate my pH probe as it became erratic
I had to recalibrate conductivity (you already mentioned this needed to happen)
Web Server occasionally goes unresponsive when trying to load random pages. If I wait a couple minutes, I can try again and it works.

Still having to reboot the system about once every several days due to losing connectivity. New beta didn't fix it...sigh....

Mine has always done it about every 5-7 days i have to reboot. Every firmware update has not fixed it yet. Very frustrating.

maybe russ can elaborate but the reboot every 4 days issue is corrected by turning off some sort of server feature in the setup menu.

Off the top of my head, I believe it's the "Aquaserver" option under System---->Net Setup ----> Aquaserver Setup

Make sure it's set to "Off".

I just updated, but under Apex Network Setup the version is "4.12_1B11" where the file for the release is "release_4.12_1B12"

Should is state "4.12_1B12" instead of "4.12_1B11" or is it just an error in what is being reported?

thanks,

Mike

Russ,

Do you think there is any chance they will update the beta release?

It looks like they have identified quite a few little bugs with the new webserver and the probes.

I am just curious if they were going to give it another beta round before the production release. That would be understandable. This was a pretty ambitious release.

Yeah it has always been set to off. Not sure why this does this, but really screws me up when i am out of town.

The new release appears to be final on the website...but it whacked out my salinity calibration...dropped about 2.25 points. It's not swinging like the other person is reporting...it's like it just lost calibration.

I also saw my salinity number change after the update; in my case it went up. I mentioned this to Neptune, and they indicated that this was in fact due to a bug fix, and a recalibration should return things to normal. After recalibration, my probe is back to normal.
