Whoa! Those are huge! That's what she said. I had some awhile back but they did not make it thru QT. Beautiful fish you got there. Let us know when they have babies.

I haven't seen too many long term captives, but the few I have seen did not keep their striking colors at all. Has this changed, I hope?

my turn. I got this pair very small and young for LFS, never had one problem with them. Had to sell them due to divorce, still upset about it, selling the fish that is ;)

I dismantled the tank after they died.

For those who have not heard the story - a wrasse jumped out of the tank at night, landed on GFCI, and tripped it.

^^^ Listen to the woman, she knows her clowns :) (MarinaP) She also knows how fickle these are to settle in, and how susceptible they are to "that which shall not be mentioned in a clownfish forum" :) They are beautiful, but like S. gigantea, they are really advanced critters for reasons that are not wholly understood. Not rare in the wild, just hard to keep in captivity.

i know how sensitive they are too. i had a marineland heater blow up on my sump. and my first pair, which was larger and from ibluewater also died, as well as some other fish. the female was about 6" and vibrant like my current pair. they got super stressed and died the next night.

if you have them in a nem, they will most likely keep their brigher colors and not turn so dark brown. i have my tricinctus in a rbta
