Are these guys GBTA's or Majanos?

I was given what I was told was a GBTA, about a year ago. It was very small"¦about a dime size. I put it in the tank and within this last year, I've given away about eight, and still have 13 in my tank. They never got any larger than a quarter, and that's probably pushing the size. They also are mild or non stingers because they are nested amongst other corals without issue.

I am now questioning this because I attempted to give a few more away and I was directed to Melev's site where they showed my little guys as majanos. Here's that LINK.

Here's a picture of six of these guys in my tank. For size comparison, they are amongst nuclear green zoas with a green candy cane in the lower left. Sorry for the photo quality, I only have a point-n-shoot.

And for the purpose of full disclosure, I also have a RBTA that hasn't split in three plus years.

So what do I have?

They do look more like Melevs pics then they do GBTA's. I received a dime sized GBTA as a hitchhicker but now it's disc is almost 8" across. Both of my BTA's (RBTA and GBTA) have pink/red feet. What color do these ones have?

The foot appears to be a very light tan to light pink. Here’s a picture, without flash, that makes the foot look a lot darker than it actually is. And this is nine of the little buggers in that dish. The quarter is there for size comparison.

Yeah sorry but if they are reproducing at a rate more than doubling their numbers every 3 months it's almost assured to be a pest anemone.

Is there any white lines around the mouth.I have never seen a majono bigger than a dime, may be a tulip anemone.Try to get a pic of the mouth please.

Get a picture of its mouth…..just say aaaaaahhhh.

This is the best I could do with the ones sitting in a Tupperware in the sump. It has white lines radiating outward from the mouth.

I fell for that one too. Back when I started I was sold an anemone rock. Well it definantly was an anemone rock, full of manjos.

Ok, so as far my experience goes I have found that there are 4 types of "majano" anemone, not including the tulip anemone, and I own all 5 types. I have a personal "fondness" of small anemones so that's why I collected them. All 4 types of majano are dime sized, and the tulip anemones get up to quarter sized, like SNAKEMANVET suggests. So whatever it is, it's not a standard BTA, but not a standard majano either. And since it doesn't have pink tips it's not a tulip. You have an awesome conundrum on your hands!

On a side note, I would like to have one if you're up for shipping. :)

Tentacles in the first picture make them look like BTA's.
I'll take a few off your hands if you're willing to ship some too. :D

Bradleym and c0mplex, I’m willing to give all these away…..BUT, I’ve never shipped livestock, and don’t feel comfortable doing so. So any local takers? I’ll keep them one more day before they go bye-bye.

Redfish,
Its Barry, ill take them all.

They are def btas, each one has white lines around its mouth and i have pictures of them hosting clowns.
