I seem to keep all these boxes and my wife says they should be tossed and says I am hoarding ..do you keep your boxes or toss them here is what I keep incase I sell them since I see everyone always wants the boxes correct or not?

I used to keep that stuff too... Takes up way too much space. The box isnt going to make it worth anything extra.. I just keep owners manuals now... throw the boxes out.

yes i keep the boxes to about everything i buy. never know if your gonna have to ship it for repair and also people do feel better about buying stuff if you have the box. its really just a sign that you take good care of your things

For what it's worth... people that buy used expensive camera gear sort of expect the box and no box is typically a red flag. I have kept all of my camera gear boxes. Honestly they don't take up much room and they stack oh so well.

That was my thinking as well. I also keep the styrofoam packing frames that go in there too.

I've kept all my boxes. It made it easier when I sold my D40 that basically it looked brand new besides the original packing foam... The buyer was completely astonished and asked if I ever even used it or just opened and stole the foam haha.
