Arlin's 60Gallon cube

well its june almost 6 months in :)

Everything is doing well thank god lol

so heres the rundown...

im still using deltec h2o salt... i do weekly 10g W/C
im thinking about going back to ESV salt. im not too impresed by the deltec.
my doser still running like a champ and keeping my levels up to par.
im up to 32ml of Alk & 34ml of Cal on a 24hr/24 times a day schedule.
i honestly stoped dosing mag since its consistanly @1440-1450.
Im goign to lay off the Phols extra (dont think it made an impact)
i started dosing a diffrent kind of AA(amino acids) i was using the brighwell
AA'S, noe Im using the seach(Aquavitro) "FUEL" .
I just started feeding "Oyster Feast" as food for corals. before i was using "Roti Feast"

i think thats it :)

My levels as of 6pm today:
CAL-400
Alk-8.08
MAG-1440
po4-0.00

I'm am very happy that thruw these hott summer days my tank has been hanging at 77-78 degrees. :fish1: :fish2: :fish1:

UP Date:

so the tank will be 8 months next Friday...... so i though i would update a little early.

first of all the tank has been cool at 77-78 degrees all summer long which is great for the tank but hurtful to my wallet :)

like i mentioned before the tank is back on ESV salt for about a month and a few weeks now and everything seems to be doing well.

so about two weeks ago i had a little problem with one of my MP10's. it was making loud sounds and it stop working at one point...i was freaking out .... so i sent it out to ecotech on Monday and had it back on Wednesday and its been working great ever since.

bio pellets are still in effect.

i just started to use reef pearls last week. ill see how that works out
-i only did a tiny pinch of it, and only plan to do it once a week.

the Automatic dosser is doing great. Ive been checking weekly
levels: ALK - 8.3 CAL - 420 MAG - 1400

I think that's it.... :)

It's been a month since I checked in. So this is what's been going on...

So this month has been interesting, this month I have been fighting a small patch of cyanobacteria, a few green bubble algae that came with a zoa frag and a small population of asterina stars (which are all gone now ...I think).

1) The cyano- "I think came from the "reefbooster" that I decided to try" y do I say that b/c it's the only thing that I aded in last month that's different. A Product by prodibio used as coral food.

2) Bubble green algae- I took the frag out and made sure it was all off and then put it back in. From noe on deep inspection and coral RX!

3)asterina stars- some ppl report they eat zoas some say they are beneficial ..in my case I'm not taking any risk. Every day I took out 2-3 stars until they where gone . I did not kill them I left them in a specimen cup and gave them to one of my buddys .
