Arlin's 60Gallon cube

Nice tanks, looking good with the Twin Towers!

I have the same size tank, and it will also be SPS dominated, but I still have'nt decide how I will handle the flow (Ecotech, Tunze, etc. ). So How do like the flow from your 2 MP10, and do you think they are too noisy (compare to the skimmer for exemble (I also have the sameone so it will give me an Idea))

they are dead silent! and i only run them @ about 75% .
no cables, no heat , no bulky Power head in the limited space i have PERFECT!

i also have an over sized return pump. HTH
 
UP DATE:

I got my new toy today.... thanks to Gotham Aquatics :D

I wanted this so bad!!!!! and finally got it!

Mini update :

1) I switched salt from RC to deltec h20 last week.
2) this week(Sunday) i did a 30% W/C
2.5) reason y I did such a "big"(23g) w/c I wanted to clean my sump. I also cleaned my skimmer & return pump.
3)Monday : my buddy came over to help me finally hook up my Apex . I love having the power in my hands!!!...muahh ha ha ha ! .( I'm addicted to checking my apex thruw my iPhone .. I confess)
4) I started using zeovits phols extra.

I think thats it for now.. I am going to do some testing today..

A lot of changes all at once, its scary....
 
Very nice build.... Who did your sump build? Does he do it and ship? Also, I am using your build as a template for mine. I would love to hear what you would change and do different. Any input would be great. Thanks , DrK33

i did alot of HW before i did the changes so everything should work out.

thanks, the sump was build by a custome builder on another local forum. idk if he will ship but i can give u his contact info if you want :D . i basically told him what i wanted and he did just that. :beer: ...what i would change about it : i would take off the fuge..y b/c i feel its not as effective b/c its so small & i also run bio-pellets. when i upgrade im going to have my fuge separetly. advise: Get Exacly what you want! dont settle for anything else :) it may cost you a bit more but you will happy you did :beer:

Good build... Couple questions: How are the two vortech mp10es doing? Any mishaps due to the glass thickness? Last question: Are they giving you enough flow in the tank?

I'm also interested about how your MP10 working for you as I'm currently looking into MP40 vs MP10. Also, How do you like your SRO1000, do you think you get enough of it or would you take a bigger one if it was to do again.

they are doing great but i only run them @ 75% (100% sweaps my sand. and i have the larger type of sand grade). idk the thinkness of my glass but they work well on them :D . i have great flow all around, when the polyps extend i can really tell they get a really good amount of flow.

i love my vortechs. An mp40 on a 60g would def be over kill, you would be running it about 25%-35%. if your going to upgrade really soon you cood get an mp40 :) . my skimmer is a beast it pulls crazy stuff out. no complains about the skimmer.

BTW my return pump is a Deep Blue Triton 5 Pump : 1350gph :spin2:
its hooked up to A mini Manifold which feeds my two reactors (gfo & BP)

I switched from RC to DD H20cean as well, you will be very happy trust me. Why did you switch from a RKL to a Apex? I really like my RKL, I know the Apex will do way more. Tank is looking good, keep it up.
