I asked in someone's thread about a week ago but got no replies...

Anyways, i got my 40 breeder w/just 4x96 pc's right now but i'm gonna be buying the sunlight supply 4x39 T5 HO retro with Icecap reflectors. What types of clams could i keep with this lighting? Any? None?

You should be able to keep any clam you like. I would go with a corcea or maxima because they are going to stay smaller because of the small tank.

I picked up a sweet blue stripe maxima at ATR but it wasn't cheap. Pets Inc usually has a nice selection of common colored clams and at good price.

if you are going to place crocease or maximas they will definitely be happier in the upper half of your tank.

Jay, i was gonna be ordering one from that place jared does the group buys through....30 bucks or something like that. And everybody that got one that posted pictures of them....the clams looked really good.

One question...is it ok to use aquamend or whatever on the bottom of a clam to get it to stick to the rock? I'm guessing no but im not sure.

the clam will attach on it own. Do not put aquamend on the bottom of a clam.

well idk...its a group order that we're all ordering from...its somewhere in CA...i think LA maybe. So its being shipped so i would think others could order from the same company. If you really want info, look at the reef club forum that me and jayreefer are in...its called FRAG and its the arizona one. There's a huge thread right now about it towards the top.
